China-Based Businessman, 2 Angolans Excrete 236 Cocaine Wraps at Nigerian Airports
NDLEA arrested three men who excreted 236 cocaine wraps at Abuja and Kano airports as part of drug smuggling schemes involving overseas middlemen, officials said.
- NDLEA said on Sunday it arrested Ibeanu Vincent Chukwudulue and two Angolan suspects who excreted 236 cocaine wraps after arrests at Abuja and Kano airports.
- NDLEA operatives deboarded Ibeanu Vincent Chukwudulue from Qatar Airways flight 1432 and used a body scan showing drug ingestion, while two Angolan suspects tested positive at Kano screening for Ethiopian Airlines flight ET940.
- Separately, Ibeanu Vincent Chukwudulue excreted 52 pellets weighing 735.95 grams, while Mbandu Martins Makiadi expelled 76 wraps weighing 920 grams and Ngoma Wilson Fernando expelled 108 pellets weighing 1.33 kilograms, NDLEA said.
- Related seizures and disrupted export schemes include 105,400 tramadol pills from Kamilu Abdullahi and 563.5 kilograms of skunk at Yoruba Camp, Olumoye Forest, Edo State, according to NDLEA.
- Investigators found concealment methods such as garri-packed cocaine and an alleged prison-directed export scheme by Olashupo Michael Oladimeji, with $3000 payments promised to couriers, NDLEA said.
