- The 2026 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week recently commenced in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, under the theme "Empowering a Community of Friendship through Smart Education."
- Since its 2008 inception, CAECW has evolved into a regionally influential framework, drawing over 54,000 participants from nearly 90 countries and involving more than 8,000 institutions across ASEAN and Belt and Road Initiative partners.
- Organizers launched the China-ASEAN Smart Education Capacity Building Project supporting China's "AI + Education" Action Plan, and released the International Mutual Recognition Framework for TVET Learning Outcomes establishing standardized protocols for cross-border mobility.
- Simultaneously, the Guiyang-Guian International Talent Entrepreneurship Park opened, hosting 15 startups founded by ASEAN students, as Guizhou Province released accreditation standards for "Guijiang Workshops" to export vocational education models.
- Notably, six of 60 planned year-round projects will be hosted by ASEAN nations including Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia, fostering an ecosystem defined by "co-organization, sharing, and win-win outcomes.
