Man, woman and child die after fall from high-rise block of flats in London
Emergency crews tried to revive the three victims, but police said the deaths are being treated as unexpected and no other injuries were reported.
On Wednesday, May 27, a man, a woman, and a child died after falling from a high-rise block of flats in Churchyard Row, Elephant and Castle. Emergency services responded at approximately 7:30 AM.
The Metropolitan Police attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, London's Air Ambulance, and the London Fire Brigade. Despite resuscitation attempts by paramedics who arrived within minutes, all three were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed they are treating the deaths as 'unexpected' and 'unexplained,' while work is underway to formally identify the victims. Next-of-kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
Detectives are urging anyone with information to contact police by calling 101, quoting CAD 1613/27MAY. Authorities confirmed no other injuries occurred during the incident at the south London block.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing as detectives continue to review the area. Police are working to determine how the three people fell from the tower block.
