Oak Bay officers respond after child hit on bike, and nab two impaired drivers last week

Over the course of a week, Oak Bay Police officers responded to 68 calls for service, of which two involved impaired drivers and one where a child was hit on their bike. On May 14 in the 2000 block of Lansdowne Road around 4 p.m., officers were called to a collision “involving a child cyclist and a vehicle.” The child was brought to the hospital as a precaution but no serious injuries have been reported.
