Seven-year-old Sumit Kumar drowned in a brick kiln pit on Saturday evening, July 25, in Sundarpur village, under the Salimpur police station area of the Bakhtiyarpur block of Patna district. Sumit was the son of Ajit Rai. According to family members, Sumit was playing around the house when he fell into a deep pit near the brick kiln.
