Child almost drowns in Benton County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A 5-year-old boy is recovering after he almost drowned in Benton County just after 9 a.m. Thursday morning. According to an incident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the boy was looking at the rising flood waters from a bridge at the intersection of Rambow Road and Beeman Ave., when he slipped and fell into the water.
