Walker Runs All over Denver, Mahomes Looks Healthy as Chiefs Beat up Broncos 31-10
Kenneth Walker III ran for 173 yards and two touchdowns, and Patrick Mahomes added three scores as Kansas City dominated Denver.
On Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos 31-10 at Arrowhead Stadium, marking quarterback Patrick Mahomes' return from knee surgery and running back Kenneth Walker III's Chiefs debut.
Recovering from a torn ACL and LCL, Mahomes led Kansas City alongside Walker, a free-agent acquisition from the Seattle Seahawks, as the Chiefs sought revenge for losing the AFC West crown.
In his debut, Walker secured 173 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Mahomes threw for 184 yards and added a rushing score to lead the offensive effort.
Under coordinator Davis Webb, the Broncos produced only 176 total yards as Bo Nix finished with 131 passing yards, one touchdown, and an interception in Denver's offensive struggle.
Denver attempts to bounce back against the Jacksonville Jaguars next week, while the Chiefs prepare for the Indianapolis Colts following the Broncos' lowest offensive output since 2023.
