AI township: Farmers offering land, says CM Shivakumar in a counter to Kumaraswamy
Farmers near Bidadi have offered their land for the proposed AI township project. This development occurred despite opposition from JD(S) and BJP leaders, including HD Kumaraswamy. Close on the heels of the JD(S) and BJP’s joint padayatra, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Sunday, for the first time, indicated that the compensation for land losers in Bidadi could go up to ₹3 crore an acre, while the perceived cap so far has been ₹2.55 crore an acre.
Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that our government will continue the Bidadi Township project, which has been stalled for many years. This ambitious project will be developed into a comprehensive AI city with good roads, metro facilities, a stadium, housing and parks.
