- Walmart removed impacted products from stores, with a spokesperson stating the company is 'working with the supplier to investigate.' The USDA reports no confirmed illnesses linked to the recall so far.
- The Food Safety and Inspection Service noted it 'expects additional downstream products will be identified as this ingredient recall progresses.' The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates about 1.35 million Salmonella cases occur annually in the United States.
