Charlie Woods Ties for Eighth at Junior Players
Charlie Woods shot a final-round 71 and finished seven strokes behind winner JP Lynch at the three-day junior event.
Charlie Woods, the 17-year-old son of Tiger Woods, tied for eighth at The Junior Players Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida on Sunday. He finished the three-day event at 1-under 215 at TPC Sawgrass.
Competing on the same Stadium Course used by professionals during The Players Championship, Woods achieved his best finish of the 2026 season. The Benjamin School student improved significantly over previous appearances.
His final round featured a 1-under 71, offsetting five birdies with four bogeys. On the famous "Island Green," Woods played long and left, two-putting from 25 feet.
TaylorMade announced an NIL contract with Woods during the event on Friday, marking a notable career development. The top-10 finish is expected to boost his American Junior Golf Association ranking.
Woods is entering his senior year of high school and remains committed to play golf at Florida State starting in the fall of 2027. This positions him for collegiate competition at an elite program.
