A ten-metre-long whale failed and then died on a beach on Ré Island, announced the Charente-Maritime prefecture and the national failure network, reports AFP.
A common female whale, the second largest whale species in the world behind the blue whale, died this Saturday after being stranded on the shores of Rivedoux-Plage on Friday night.
