- The UCF officer investigating the vehicle theft report encountered Vick and escalated the situation by threatening to take him to a Baker Act facility after Vick refused to lower his voice.
- A University employee named Josh attempted to intervene during the confrontation. Officers deployed pepper spray and subsequently restrained Vick on the ground, using a Taser to place him in handcuffs.
- Police booked Vick on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Court records show Vick pleaded not guilty to all charges, with the case closed in Jan.
- In a statement to the New York Post, Vick alleged that police harassed him and attributed media coverage to officers' actions. The Orange County Sheriff and UCF campus police did not respond to requests for comment.
