- The visit comes ahead of his November 27 retirement, marking General Sahir Shamshad Mirza's imminent departure after completing his term, ISPR said.
- At GHQ, Mirza laid a wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and received a Guard of Honour from a Pakistan Army contingent; ISPR noted Field Marshal Munir lauded Mirza's role in enhancing tri-services synergy.
- The COAS highlighted General Mirza's contributions to regional stability, military diplomacy, and partnerships, while Mirza expressed gratitude to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Pakistan Armed Forces for their support.
- Under the 27th Constitutional Amendment, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza will be the last CJCSC as the post ceases to exist, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will assume the Chief of Defence Forces role.
