Chad Lowe's Father Pays Tribute After Granddaughter Dies at 13
The family shared a statement with 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline information and asked for privacy after the 13-year-old's death.
On Wednesday, actor Chad Lowe and Kim Painter announced the death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona Hepler Lowe. Her grandfather Charles Lowe shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute the following day, posting a photo of Fiona smiling while swimming.
Welcomed in 2012, Fiona was the second child of Chad and Painter, positioned between older sister Mabel, 17, and younger sister Nixie Barbara, 10. The family remembered her as "a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance."
"We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," the family stated, calling her "the light of our lives." The statement added, "Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time."

Chad, the younger brother of Brat Pack star Rob Lowe, earned an Emmy for playing Jesse McKenna on "Life Goes On." He has also directed episodes of "Bones," "Melrose Place," and "Pretty Little Liars.
