Peru Names César Luna-Victoria as SUNAT's New Chief
Peru has named veteran tax lawyer César Luna-Victoria León as the new chief of SUNAT, the national tax and customs authority, days into President Keiko Fujimori's government. This morning, the President of the Judiciary, Janet Tello, took an oath in the post of National Superintendent of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat), as well as three members of the board of directors of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) proposed by the Executive.
The ceremony, in which the holder of Economy and Finance, Elmer Cuba, also participated, was held in the Jury Hall of the Palace of Justice.
