Central NY deputies investigating report of man touching child at park

Deerfield, N.Y. — The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a man who touched a child at a park in the Town of Deerfield, deputies said Friday.The incident was reported to have occurred Wednesday in the early evening at the Deerfield Wilderness Park, 6329 Walker Road, according to sheriff’s Investigator Mark Chrysler.

The Salina Police Department arrested a man early Friday morning after a child younger than 15 called 911 from a Salina home to report a man trying to get into a room to touch the child and their sibling inappropriately.
