- As revealed this week, CMU received a Notice of Allegations from the NCAA on June 27, giving it until Sept. 25 to respond.
- On Oct. 31, 2023, the NCAA inquiry into CMU began after photos showed a man resembling Connor Stalions in disguise on the Chippewas sideline at Michigan State, wearing coaching gear and sunglasses.
- The NCAA detailed that Stalions coordinated a scheme buying tickets and filming sidelines, with the individual wearing facial hair, CMU attire, and recording-capable sunglasses.
- In a statement to reporters, CMU said it is working with the NCAA toward resolution and has not received a formal NOA.
