Central Iowa man given deferred judgment in Johnson County shooting case

Lang 6/20/26 A Jasper County man has been given a deferred judgment in a case involving him allegedly firing a gun outside of an Iowa City residence. Court records show Judge Deborah Minot sentenced 57-year-old Henry Vanrees of Reasnor to a two-year suspended sentence and an $855 fine on a 1st Degree Harassment charge earlier this month.
