The US trade deficit in May rose to $71.5 billion from $60.3 billion in April, the US Commerce Department said. As reported, US exports of goods and services fell 4 percent in May to $279 billion, while imports remained almost unchanged, falling slightly to $350.5 billion, the lowest level in seven months.
