Census: Clarke County’s population continues dropping - Clarke County Democrat
Southwest Alabama counties continue a downward slide in population, according to recently released U.S. Census estimates. By contrast, the state’s population grew by a modest 0.7% from 2023 to 2024, or about 40,000 people. Most of that growth came in metro and more urban areas.
