The World Robotics Championship was held in the Brazilian city of Salvador from 15 to 21 July 2025, and the team from the Secondary School for Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Media of the Celje School Center also participated. Under the mentorship of Matej Vebro, they won 2nd place.

At the World Robotics Championship in Salvador, Brazil, a team of fourth-year students from the Celje School Center's mechatronics technician program won second place in the rescue robot category. Last year, Celje students won first place in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
