Celine Boutier rallies from 4 down to win ShopRite LPGA
Celine Boutier birdied three holes around the turn and finished at 9-under 204 for her seventh career LPGA title.
On Sunday, Celine Boutier rallied from a four-shot deficit to win the ShopRite LPGA Classic in Galloway, New Jersey, firing a 5-under 66 to finish at 9-under 204.
The 22-year-old South Korean leader Soo Bin Joo lost her four-shot advantage on the 13th hole, where Boutier sank a 30-foot birdie putt to seize control in a tournament ahead of the U.S. Women's Open.
Thailand's Arpichaya Yubol finished second, one stroke behind, while Ireland's Lauren Walsh placed third at 206. Boutier now holds seven career LPGA titles and said, "I'm super excited to be back in the winner's circle."
Boutier shifts focus to next week's U.S. Women's Open in Los Angeles, held at Riviera for the first time. She said, "It's always good to be back."
The victory coincided with Paris Saint-Germain retaining the UEFA Champions League crown and Victor Wembanyama leading the San Antonio Spurs into the NBA Finals, marking a turnaround for Boutier after struggling this year.
