Minnesota State Parks and Washington County Parks are encouraging visitors to spend time outdoors during the holiday weekend by offering free entry on Friday. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is waiving vehicle fees to all 73 state parks and recreation areas Friday, Nov. 28. Celebrate Free Parks Day at Itasca State Park – R & J Broadcasting Inc.
Friday is Free Parks Day, and the naturalists at Itasca State Park invite you to the park this Friday for some late fall fun. Itasca State Park Naturalist Sandra Lichter tells us more about Free Parks Day. Lichter says one thing you can do during Free Parks Day is take a hike on their Candlelight Trail, which opens on Thanksgiving.
