The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) rejected the notification of Gaidar village mayor, Ilia Chiosaa, of the dissolution of the local council at its meeting on 7 July. The mayor had requested the dissolution on the grounds that, for six consecutive months, the council would not have taken any decision. However, the electoral authority analysed the history of the political conflict and found the opposite.
