The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a food safety alert after detecting an outbreak of Escherichia coli (E. coli) infections linked to frozen blueberries sold in the southeastern United States. So far, 12 people in two states have become ill after consuming the contaminated product.
