Cavaliers announce exclusive multi-year broadcast partnership with DAZN
The team will produce broadcasts in-house and offer 15 free local simulcasts as it adds new camera angles and augmented reality features.
On Tuesday, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced a multi-year partnership with European-based streaming platform DAZN to broadcast local games beginning with the 2026-27 season.
The agreement follows the shutdown of FanDuel Sports Networks, which ended 36 years of local broadcast coverage, prompting the franchise to move production in-house to Rock Entertainment Sports Network .
Viewers will experience an upgraded broadcast featuring predictive AI, augmented reality, and expanded camera coverage growing from six cameras to 19 using Cosm's ultra-high-resolution 10.5K systems.
Fans can choose from several subscription options starting at $19.99 monthly, while 15 games will air free on local stations and Cavs United and Foundation Members receive complimentary access.
The five-year deal carries an annual rights fee of around $20 million, less than half the $35 million from the prior FanDuel agreement, with an opt-out clause for the 2027-28 NBA season.
