Jeff Hays Joins DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL TV Series as Princess Donut
Jeff Hays, the audiobook narrator and producer, will voice Princess Donut as Peacock adapts Matt Dinniman’s best-selling series, which has sold more than 14 million copies.
- On Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con, Peacock announced that audiobook narrator Jeff Hays has been cast as the voice of Princess Donut in the live-action Dungeon Crawler Carl series based on Matt Dinniman's bestselling novels.
- The series follows a Coast Guard veteran named Carl who survives an alien invasion, where survivors are forced into a sadistic intergalactic game show and Carl teams up with his ex-girlfriend's cat, Princess Donut.
- Hays is widely recognized by fans as the voice of Princess Donut in the audiobook versions, which have drawn more than 140 million listening hours on Audible to date.
- This casting marks the first major update since Peacock ordered the series last month, which is executive produced by Seth MacFarlane and Chris Yost of Fuzzy Door Productions alongside co-executive producer Matt Dinniman.
- The Dungeon Crawler Carl book series has sold more than 14 million copies across all formats, with Ace Books' editions maintaining a presence on the New York Times bestseller list for 115+ weeks.
