The Pitt Loses Major Star Ahead of Season 2
HOSPITAL SETTING, JUL 10 – Season 2 of The Pitt introduces new characters to deepen hospital storylines while original cast member Tracy Ifeachor, who appeared in 11 episodes, will not return, HBO Max confirmed.
- Tracy Ifeachor, who played Dr. Heather Collins on HBO Max's medical drama The Pitt, will not return for the upcoming second season.
- The Pitt premiered in January 2025 with a real-time format following 15 hours of one emergency room shift, and was renewed for season two which will cover the Fourth of July weekend.
- Season two production began in June 2025 with new cast members including Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Lucas Iverson, and Latitia Hollard joining the show.
