Kentucky reports 1st measles case of 2026

FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Department for Public Health announced late last week that an unvaccinated Jessamine County resident tested positive for measles, the first confirmed case of measles in a Kentucky resident since July 2025.

The confirmation comes after a measles exposure in Fayette County earlier this month. The CHFS reports the case was found in a child 5 years old or younger.
