Casa Bonita workers strike after management's minimal wage offer and refusal to improve layoff protections or address performer safety, union representatives said.

- After negotiations since April, Casa Bonita management walked away this week after offering only 11 cents more and ignoring a September charge over 51,000 hours cut, according to Actors' Equity.
- The bargaining unit's performers include cliff divers, magicians, roving actors and other entertainers represented by Actors' Equity, with some earning about $21 per hour, far below Denver's living wage of over $30.
- No cliff divers will perform on Halloween as the strike begins; Casa Bonita management emailed guests confirming the restaurant will remain open and offered a free drink or arcade credit.
