CarMax agreed to pay $1.1 million to settle a lawsuit after allegations that the car dealer would not have delivered key documents to thousands of its buyers on time. Without admitting to breaking the law, CarMax pledged to pay that amount, but also to improve its practices. Dealers will now have to suspend the sale if they do not have the title of the vehicle at hand, among other things.
