CARLETON PLACE JUNIOR A AND JUNIOR B HOCKEY CLUBS ANNOUNCE NEW OWNERSHIP

Carleton Place, Ontario – The Carleton Place Junior Canadians are pleased to announce the completion of the sale and transfer of ownership of the organization’s Junior A and Junior B franchises to Adam Ali and Jake McDermott.  The transaction has received approval from both the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) and the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL). The previous ownership group played an important role in establishing Carleton Place as one of Eastern Ontario’s most recognized Junior hockey communities. The organization thanks them for their commitment to the teams, their players, and the community. Jake and Adam now assume stewardship of both franchises and are committed to building a strong, connected organization that supports player development, competitive excellence and a renewed relationship with the Carleton Place community. “We are honoured to take on the responsibility of leading the Carleton Place Junior Canadians,” said Adam Ali. “These teams belong at the heart of the community, and our focus will be on building a sustainable organization that gives players an outstanding development experience while creating something local families, supporters and partners are proud to be part of.” “Carleton Place has a tremendous hockey tradition and an identity that means a great deal to this community,” said Jake McDermott. “We are excited to work alongside our coaches, staff, volunteers and players to build a unified program across both teams grounded in development, accountability, competitiveness and pride in representing Carleton Place.” About the New Ownership Group Adam Ali Adam is a Partner with MNP and an experienced business leader with a deep background in player development programs in Minor Hockey. He brings a strong commitment to community engagement, responsible growth, and building a sustainable long-term foundation for both franchises. Jake McDermott Jake is an experienced business leader and hockey coach with extensive involvement in player development and community hockey. He brings a player-focused perspective and a commitment to establishing a strong, aligned hockey culture across the Junior A and Junior B programs.
