Cards RB Jeremiyah Love (Ankle) Out at Least One Week
Jeremiyah Love totaled 71 scrimmage yards on 14 touches and is expected to practice this week after leaving with a minor ankle injury, coach Mike LaFleur said.
On Thursday, Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love excelled in his professional debut, but head coach Mike LaFleur confirmed Saturday that Love will miss at least one week due to an ankle injury sustained during the 27-14 victory.
LaFleur decided to sideline the running back after Love reported feeling 'a little bit more sore' on Friday than anticipated, prompting the conservative approach.
Totaling 71 scrimmage yards on 14 touches, Love rushed 11 times for 58 yards and caught three passes for 14 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders.
With Love sidelined, the Arizona Cardinals will adjust their backfield rotation, starting with Tyler Allgeier and continuing with Bam Knight and Corey Kiner.
LaFleur also announced Saturday that rookie guard Chase Bisontis will head to injured reserve after tearing his MCL when Raiders defensive lineman Brandon Cleveland fell on his left knee Thursday.
