Car crashes into memorial on main Kelowna road
A single-car crash has put a wrench in rush-hour traffic Wednesday. The car hit a pole on Harvey Avenue at Burtch Road happened around 5 p.m. Only one lane is open westbound on Highway 97. Traffic at Burtch can still get through. Firefighters are on scene and it is unknown at this time the extent of injuries. The pole hit is decorated as a memorial for a woman who was previously killed at the intersection.
