GONE WITH THE WIND: Enraged Lynch Mob Hangs Mother and Her Teenage Son From Bridge

Summary by ohtuleht.ee
In May 1911, a chaotic shootout broke out on a black family's farm in Oklahoma, killing the local sheriff. The entire family was arrested, but the mother and her children never made it to trial because an angry mob decided to preemptively lynch them. The "outcome" of the tragic lynching was also captured in photographs that made for gruesome postcards.
