Candidate for job of president University of Montana to be named on Friday

The finalist will meet students, staff and faculty as the university releases the candidate profile and visit itinerary.

  • Montana Commissioner of Higher Education Clayton Christian led an expedited search that resulted in Shinn emerging as the finalist from a robust pool of more than 60 applicants.
  • Shinn will visit the Missoula campus on Monday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 7, participating in meetings with leadership, faculty, staff, and an open forum and community reception.
  • Commissioner Christian emphasized that "Your participation is vital in helping us determine our next steps and shape our final recommendation to the Board of Regents.
