Canal Boat to Return in 2026
After an extended period, the C&O Canal will finally be re-flooded this year and the canal boat will return. This is according to an update from Georgetown Heritage, which was responsible for bringing a new boat back to the canal in 2022. After a year of plying the waters, the boat was put up in dry dock again to allow the canal to receive critical repairs.
