Canadian Women’s Soccer Team to Host Denmark in Pair of October Friendlies
Canada will use two home matches against Denmark as its final tune-up before November’s CONCACAF W Championship, which decides World Cup and Olympic qualifying.
Canada Soccer announced Tuesday that the women's national team will host Denmark for two international friendlies on October 9 at Montreal's Stade Saputo and October 12 at Toronto's BMO Field.
These exhibitions serve as final preparations before November's CONCACAF W Championship, which qualifies teams for the 2027 Women's World Cup and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
"Denmark is a very organized team with some great offensive threats," Canada coach Casey Stoney said, noting the upcoming matches will be highly competitive.
The return to home soil marks the team's first domestic appearance since hosting Haiti in June 2025, ending an absence of more than a year.
With three wins each, the teams have split six all-time meetings, though they have not faced each other since Canada's 1-0 victory at the 2017 Algarve Cup in Portugal.
