Canadian Rangers deployed to help Nunavik community manage water crisis - Ground Water Canada
Puvirnituq, Nunavik – The Canadian Rangers, a division of the Canadian Army Reserve, are being sent here by the federal government to help with the community’s water crisis. A state of emergency had been declared for the community on May 17 in response to a water shortage that had been ongoing since mid-March. The crisis was recently complicated after firefighters battled a home fire during the shortage. APTN News report
