- On May 15, ICE arrested Noviello at a probation office in Florida; earlier in 2023, they had admitted to distributing opioid painkillers, resulting in a 12-month prison sentence.
- He had multiple health conditions including a seizure disorder and hypertension, reported feeling sad and depressed, refused full medical evaluations, and began declining care by late May.
- Medical staff found Noviello unresponsive at 12:54 p.m. on June 23, began CPR and used a defibrillator, but he was declared dead at 1:36 p.m.; the cause of death remains unknown and remains under investigation.
