The trade dispute between the United States and Canada shows no signs of abating. The Trump administration's 50% tariffs on approximately 5% of Canadian goods, including dairy products, wine, and hockey sticks, took effect on August 22. Canada has also stated that it will begin imposing retaliatory tariffs on some U.S. goods starting September 8.
On Tuesday, September 8, Canada's retaliatory tariffs on U.S. imports will take effect. The new tariffs will apply to approximately 700 products worth a total of C$27.6 billion.
