Nightmare Start when Sweden Lost the Group Final: "Frustrating"

It took 18 seconds for Canada to score the first goal in Tuesday night's group final against Tre Kronor. Sweden bounced back after a nightmare start, but when it was all over, it was Canada who had won the match 5–3 and thus the group. In the quarterfinals, group runner-up Sweden will face reigning world champions the Czech Republic.

Group A's shock in Stockholm saw Canada beat Sweden (5-3) and finish in first place on Tuesday at the World Championship. In Group B in Herning, Denmark validated its place in quarterfinals by coming to the end of Germany (2-1 t.a.b.).
