Can you explain Whitworth bolt and nut sizes please

I need to order 4 nuts for an electrical cabinet in the grainstore. One of the old nuts, in a spanner, is in the photo. What size nuts do i need to order ? The spanner has two sizes on it!! BS and W. This stands for British Standard and Whitworth at a guess? Cheers
