Of the 18 Senegalese supporters detained in Morocco following the incidents at the final of the 2025 African Cup of Nations, only three have, for the time being, regained their freedom. According to reports relayed by Senegalese media Senego on 7 May 2026, Abdoulaye Dieng, Ibrahima Diop and Aziz Wade are expected in Dakar on Thursday 14 May 2026, after spending almost three months in detention in Morocco.
