Founder of Focus Ireland, Sr Stanislaus Kennedy dedicated her life to aiding homeless and disadvantaged communities, inspiring generations with her advocacy for social justice.
- On Monday, Sister Stanislaus Kennedy, known as Sr Stan, died at St Francis Hospice in Blanchardstown aged 86.
 - Born June 19th, 1939 near Lispole, she entered the Sisters of Charity at 18 and studied social sciences and social policy at University College Dublin.
 - Campaigning led Sr Stan to found Focus Point following research into women experiencing homelessness in Dublin, and she also established the Immigrant Council of Ireland and redeveloped Stanhope Street.
