Opponent Maurice Kamto is no longer president of the Movement for the Renaissance Party of Cameroon. He announced his resignation this Tuesday, especially following an internal sling. More details with our correspondent, Marcel Amoko.
The former presidential candidate announced on 8 September that he was leaving as president of the Movement for the Rebirth of Cameroon (MRC), evoking the "best interest" of the party.
Cameroonian opponent Maurice Kamto, a former presidential candidate in 2018, who was removed from 2025, left the presidency of his party, the MRC (Renaissance Movement of Cameroon) on 8 September. At his side, Mamadou Mota also resigned as Vice-President of the party, denouncing "a constant harassment on the part of the regime". This decision is unexpected.
