Cameroon Calls on the Media to Suspend Any Political Broadcasts During the Presidential Campaign

In Cameroon, after organizing an event to pass the message to the press last week in Douala, the National Communications Council sent correspondence to the leading media. According to the CNC, as of 27 September, the official start of the presidential campaign on 12 October, the audiovisual media will have to suspend all their programmes of political debates and replace them with approved formats and campaign newspapers.
