The waiting time for radiation therapy for breast cancer is much longer in Iceland than is recommended in Europe. This is a serious concern, according to three advocacy groups who are calling on the government to define a maximum waiting time. A woman who has been diagnosed twice says that waiting weeks for such treatment is a huge additional burden.
