California firefighters rescue 8 puppies from blaze
- California firefighters rescued eight puppies hiding in a den during the Bike Fire near Bakersfield as they extinguished remaining embers this week.
- Following the Bike Fire in Oildale, which burned 5.6 acres, the mother dog sacrificed herself to shield her puppies from the flames, leading to their rescue by firefighters.
- Social media footage shared by Sabrina on TikTok on June 20 shows firefighters stating, “Thankfully, they were unharmed as the fire passed over them.”
- After the rescue, the puppies were transported to Bosley's Place in Georgia, as firefighters called animal control to try reuniting them with their mother.
