CSU Skilled Trade Workers Go on Strike, Demand Raises
Teamsters Local 2010 members protest CSU's refusal to pay contractually promised raises at 22 campuses with over 1,000 skilled trade workers striking statewide.

- Union members said the walkout targets CSU's refusal to pay contractually promised raises and step increases, while the union alleges CSU falsely claims funding shortages, a charge CSU disputes.
- Teamsters Local 2010 represents plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, locksmiths and other building maintenance staff, and Teamsters General President Sean O'Brien and elected officials planned rallies including a kickoff at San Francisco State University.
- CSU said campuses will remain open and classes will continue during strike activity, adding it is bargaining in good faith and urging the Teamsters to return to negotiations.
